The American Legion Auxiliary enhances the quality of life for veterans, military, their families, and the community. Auxiliary members are direct female relatives or wives of veterans who served during wartime, women veterans or active-duty women, advocates for our U.S. veterans, promoting democracy and citizenship, volunteering for veterans, service members & children, and the community. Established in 1919, with over 850,000 members, we are the largest patriotic women’s organization in world with 9,500 local units available to join in the U.S.
